while it's annoying as all ****....it's actually quite admirable.

that's a captain that goes down with his ship...even with 5 empty lifeboats floating around.

senseless, illogical, unreasonable, and just plain stupid...but truly admirable.

floyd was my favorite boxer when he was at 130lbs but to say or mention his name as the goat at 130lbs is laughable.

You can make a case, based on his skill shown against guys he did fight, for being up the very top at 130. You can just as easily make the case that he's not based on fighters whose accomplishments surpass his own.

There are quite a number of fighters who fought their whole career, or most of it, at 130 and have more title defenses, reigned longer, were undisputed, lineal champion and fought better fighters and more of them.

To have Floyd at the top, or in the top three, means you are basing it on his perceived greatness there and not his actual accomplishments because there are fighters that did more at 130 and are not mentioned here.

He didn't unify but his best work was at 130. He made the most defenses there, same amount as Floyd, but fought the better competition.

That's two guys right there that could be easily argued as more accomplished at 130. Serrano, who was nominated for the HOf this year, made more defenses and ruled the division for a long time was a great fighter.

i mean how could you rate him as top 130 when he's not even a career SFW?

it is unfair to someone who's busting his ass for the whole of his boxing career at 130 who probably had 10 title defences against the toughest of the tough of the division has to offer

This thread quickly became a fantasy fight! And it's not hard to understand why, with the presence of die hard Floyd fans.

Arguello is arguably the ATG in 130 IMO, followed by either Azumah Nelson or Flash Elorde, splitting 2nd and 3rd with Floyd coming in at fourth place, and that's not the end of it still because of Kobayashi.

Cmon guys, don't make this a fantasy fight, measure it by career achievements. Floyd's career's not even over, he's just on vacation...

floyd may not be the all time best, but he is one of the greatest, IMO.

and right, arguello has strong case for an ATG of 130 pounder.
