        so,... where is floid??
In all honesty. I don't believe Pac, Arum and Roach EVER
wanted the fight with Floyd. Hopefully I'm wrong and it happens
        next year.

really? they tried to make a fight with floyd in march & floyd asked for a test never done before in the history of professional prize fighting. He also has never asked for it before in all 40 of his victories. he only asked for it once it was time to fight pac who has zero evidence of steroid use.

          what's up with that?

the second time pac & arum tried to make a fight with floyd, floyd said he was not interested in boxing & went on vacation. team floyd even denied negotiations took place even though hbo president ross greenburg said they did. dont you follow boxing?

so who really didnt want to fight?

          why do you lie grustler?

            2. There is nothing praiseworthy about staying undefeated when you duck credible threats by retiring or taking a vacation, then returning when the smoke has cleared and the threats have been decimated by age and attrition.

            3. Technically, a P4P fighter need not fight a higher-ranked P4P fighter to overtake him in the rankings. The mere fact that we are even debating today who will win head-to-head between Pac and Floyd, when the very idea was laughable just two years ago, tells us that Pac has overtaken Floyd's achievements in a pound-for-pound sense.
NO! Hate to break it to you, but it doesn't work like that.
I don't think beating 2 fighters Floyd already beat prior,
a catchweight title fight at WW, a reluctant Clottey and
now another catchweight title fight for a 154Lb title against
an unranked fighter at 150 is over taking Floyd. The only
thing Pac does better than Floyd is bring the action in the
ring. Other than that, Pac ain't over taking nothing. There
are still boxing outlets that have Floyd Mayweather Jr as
P4P#1. He's even the top WW in some of those boxing
outlets as well (ESPN). Beating Mosley actually meant
something considering he was the last one to beat
Margarito and took the #1 slot from a then undefeated
Miguel Cotto. That was supposed to be Pac's fight but
opted to take the safe route and fight the "not the same
fighter after Margarito" and Top Rank fighter Miguel Cotto.

Manny fans need to stop lying to themselves. Pac has
been playing it safe for a while now. Mayweather was
dominating in the sport of boxing as the #1 guy when Pac
could just fight with one hand and getting KO'd by a body
punch. Pac is a very good action fighter but there is no way
that the whole sport of boxing will put him over Floyd. Manny
7th and now his 8th title at a catchweight are B.S. People say
Pacquiao moved up and dominated but each time he needed
some edge with exception to Clottey but everyone knew
Pac would win. I don't think Floyd regained his status after
beating Marquez but rather when he beat Mosley. Mosley was
a far more impressive fight to take than Cotto and Clottey put
together because Mosley actually had a notable and impressive
win. Cotto barely beat Clottey and Pac fought them both.

Come on man! Pac was acting like taking random blood tests
was a smack in his mothers face. They (Team Pacquiao) had
so many excuses on why Pac shouldn't take the tests? Floyd
agreed to everything Pac wanted. The fight could have been
made a long time ago but Pac got theatrical about it and went
to fight Clottey. Actually the Clottey fight happened rather
quickly. Not going to delve all the way back into this debate
but there were plenty of smoke and mirrors from Team Pacquiao
when it came to negotiations. That whole clock thing and
Ross Greenburg was set up to make Floyd look like he didn't
want to fight, to take the heat off of Pacquiao. Arum has
always been good at that. There is NO WAY! That people
should be thinking Floyd didn't want to fight Pac, considering
he agreed to everything and all Pac had to do is agree to
the tests to see if Floyd was really willing to fight him but
Pac didn't. And the notion that Floyd asked for the blood
tests to not want to fight is B.S., considering Floyd agreed
to the 10MIL every pound he comes in over weight. You
              guys keep forgetting.......

name me a sport or athlete that dictates what testing his opponents should take?

can you imagine tom brady refusing to play payton manning because he wants payton to take his testing & not the nfl?

can you imagine kobe refusing to play lebron because he wants lebron to take his testing?

can you imagine tiger woods refusing to play because he wants other golfers to take his testing?

athletes dont dictate what test his opponents take.that is absurd & ridiculous. that is the job of the sports governing body. & stop posting some generic random freddie roach quote in order to justify your delusional thinking as to why the fight didnt happen. roach is a trainer. he has never decided who what when & where a fight should take place. you are grasping at straws son.

Irrelevant. There was/is already blood and urine testing
in the sport of boxing. All Floyd asked for was a stricter
blood testing method before he stepped in the ring.
What's wrong with that? He was going to take it too.
Freddie Roach said also that Pacquiao wouldn't be ready
for Floyd by March 2010, remember? Seems to me that
Pac fans listen to everything Roach says when it favors
Manny's image but the things he says and reveals is
off limit to bring up? Whatever man, because Pac ain't
fighting no one out of the Top Rank roster. If your going
to sit up here and tell me that Manny Pacquiao is not
taking easy fights, then there is nothing else for me to
debate you on. By the way, is there also a stipulation
in the sport of boxing where a fighter can dictate and
make a clause in a contract stating that he would receive
a 10MIL per lb penalty over the limit from a fighter? NOPE,
didn't think so. The difference between Floyd and Pac is
that Floyd agreed to the 10MIL to make the fight a reality
but Pac didn't agree to giving blood? Money Mayweather
agrees to pay 10MIL over the WW limit but Manny can't
agree to random blood testing? Why not?

True. Leave the past in the past and live for the now.
Floyd needs to get focused back on his fighting and stop
trying to be a ganster rapper.
