yea Mike, please stop...under Burner's guidelines, unless you extend your tongue and wipe clean Floyd's anus, that's not called giving props

you're also missing your daily dose of '**** on manny' threads to be even considered a 'true fan'

from what i recall, he moved UP in weight to fight MAB the first time...he moved UP in weight to fight El Terrible the first time...he moved UP in weight to fight Diaz, moved UP in weight to fight DLH...was basically the same size against Ricky...dont think he was bigger than Cotto nor Clottey

lets go way back then to look further into it; Ledwaba? i think he moved UP 2 weight classes to fight him IIRC

THE ONLY opponents i remember PAC having a size advantage was against Fashan 3K Battery when he fought him in Philippines and Gabriel Mira...the Mira fight was in the 90s...i dont think there were that many message boards at the time
I think Pacquaio is naturally a little bigger than Barrera, regardless of height, reach and who moved up. De La Hoya isn't relevant because that guy was shrunken and catabolic and we're getting late on in Pacquiao's career by bringing up DLH, Hatton, Cotto. I think when he settled in to the upper little-guy weights (super-bantam to super-feather) after Singsurat (which loss I honestly put down to him being weak at the weight), he was a big guy in the ring.

I don't remember him having to move up to fight Ledwaba. I thought he was alrady boxing around that weight for a while. Maybe I'm wrong.

would being a 'little' bigger warrant a thread crying about his size advantage?

Actually I do. I was just involved in a thread stating that Floyd is an ATG, one of this era's best fighters and a top 3 defensive fighter of all time.

Let me take you down memory lane:

I have argued up in down with several Floyd fans that there is no way Paul Williams can beat Floyd.

When people claimed that Marquez vs Mayweather would flop, I made a thread, arguing with Floyd fans.....that it would do over a million buys.

I have stated that Floyd made the right chose picking Baldomir over Margarito, and Hatton over Cotto. Have argued that point up and down.

When Floyd beat Shane, I called in and gave him props. Even when Horus tried to make it a Manny vs Floyd convo as soon as I called it, I stated "This is Floyd's moment and I want to give his fans an opportunity to celebrate his great victory".

When people said Shane was shot etc....I took up for Floyd by keeping it real and saying Floyd just beat a top 3 WW.

I mean I can filled this thread with several occasions in which I have taken up for Floyd. I don't like him but I try to keep it real when it comes to him and his career.

Now let's not turn this convo into one about Floyd...so let's keep it moving and talk about the topic at hand.

I mean, Manny had other fights from super-bantam to super-feather besides Barrera and Morales and Marquez, right?

For instance, I think he was naturally a quite bigger man in the ring with Sanchez, Lucero.

But nah, I wouldn't personally make a thread about it in response to other posters observing how big Margarito appears to be next to Pacman - but someone else might do on a snap reaction if they felt there was an overstated perception going around about Pacquiao lacking size/physical presence. I mean, a lot of people do like to make Pac out to be a smaller than he is.

It clouds things when the word "midget" is being thrown around so *******ly, though, lol.
