to say "I won't fight Shane because he doesn't have it anymore" would've came from the mouth of a fighter who was lookin' to face the BEST there is to offer....I guess Vanes is not that type....even tho Shane is slowin' down and nearin' the end of a EXCELLENT HOF career....he can STILL beat a few BRAND name dudes like a Cotto or Margarito and ALOT of NO NAME dudes like Berto and Vanes....NOW as for Vanes sayin' he would KO Shane is str8 up corny.....come on now, when did Shane EVER get KTFO?!?....I thought so!!

i agree with him, Mosley is not the same. the Mora fight was a disgrace to his legacy...so of course all these fighters want him now to see who can knock him out first. but even though Shane has looked horrible, he still has an iron chin, and knockout power.

The outcome wasnt similar because Ouma showed up to fight. Ouma wasnt a "shot" fighter, hes just not hungry anymore. Against Vanes he put on his game face and made a fight of it. After the fight he told Vanes himself he was in the best shape of his life, and that Vanes was championship material.
I love how people hate this kid for no real reason. Vanes is gonna be a major player once the big boys stop ducking him, and for the record he would embarrass Shane at this point.

Martyrosian fought a version of Ouma who had recent losses to Saul Roman (knocked out by David Lopez) and Cornelius Bundrage (out smarted and beat up by Grady Brewer.) In other words, Vanes fought a version of Ouma that gets beat up by guys who lose to journeyman. If Vanes fought the version of Ouma that beat Rubio, Powell, and Jantuah, he would lose badly.

I am not sold on this guy Vanes. He barely beat a game but not in his prime Ouma. Personally, I think he is another hype job like Vic Darchinyan. Once he fights someone good with power, I think he will get KTFO....

Don't forget that Vanes supposedly handled Sergiy Dzinziruk in a Wild Card Gym sparring session. The kid has talent and should only get better the more he works with Roach.
