Why would you need to see him take punishment in order to see if he had a good chin? Save for the Johnson fight, Jones has basically been KO'ed by single shots early on. That didn't happen before. Not even close. So obviously his chin was clearly not even close to what it once was.
Roy Jones (vs John Ruiz version) vs David Haye, who wins?

That is what I am saying, how good was it really? we don't know for sure. Why would you need to see him take punishment in order to see if he had a good chin? Didn't Ruiz land a few good right hands on Roy? It's been a while since I've seen it. I don't trust his chin anymore, even the 2003 version. Haye has serious Heavyweight power, he's definitely fast enough to land something eventually.
Toney who fought Holyfield would have toyed with Haye.Comment

I think Jones could actually hurt Haye too. Hayes got a tiny Middleweight head on his blown up cruiserweight body.Comment

That was an excellent vid and really tried to answer some questions of him. You can gather what you would from that but the De Valle KD? I mean if you look at his resume he doesn't have the most impressive ko% and in fact every time he fought someone with a decent record he lost or got a D, it is possible that Roy just got over confident in the fight and took him too lightly.Comment

As much as I love Roy, I think Haye would have stopped him. But I wouldn't rule out the posibility of a UD for Roy.Comment

Agreed. I was fond of Haye BEFORE he started blatantly pulling out of fights left and right. He barks a lot, too.I could see it going either way. It isnt like Ruiz landed zero punches on Roy, and although I know they have totally different styles, if Haye lands something on Roy it puts him in a coma. Would have loved to see Roy clown Haye and stop him though. God damn that would have been fun to watch.
