Agree with Savor... exactly what I was going to say... just a great post prime win... it doesn't mean the other fights he was actually prime.

      Foolish

Love roy to death, dont think anybody was better in his prime, but he is really starting to look like a damn fool. This is beginning to look like a sad story for boxing in general, Roy will get slaughtered by David Haye, hell, Roy couldnt pull the trigger against Bernard.

Pretty sure that would be something to talk about.
It would mean something because Roy is old but Haye haven't really done anything at heavyweight, he is a worse champion then the version of Ruiz that Jones beat. Ruiz at least was willing to take on credible challengers. Haye just want's to hold on to his belt by fighting nobodys.

People like to talk **** on Haye, and rightfully so... and though he may not be the most "proven HW titleholder" he IS a good title holder. He did beat the largest HW champion in the history of the sport, and came up from cruiserweight to do it. He was also the unified CW champion.

Also, Roy would be jumping two weight classes ... again.. at 42 years old.. Against someone much bigger than even Ruiz, and about 14 years younger.

It would definitely add credence to his legacy either way you slice it.

It doesn't matter because Roy gets decimated at this point.. but in the hypothetical situation he won... it definitely will be talked about.

Haye is a much better fighter than any version of Ruiz. The Harrison fight is Haye's 1st voluntary defence, Ruiz was a mandatory. He only won the belt 2 fights ago.
