Comments Thread For: Roy Jones: David Haye Copied My Style, I Want His Title!

Former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. is still pursuing a fight with WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. Jones, 41-years-old, is not ready to retire just yet. Jones lost a twelve round decision to Bernard Hopkins in April and was stopped by IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green in the first round of their December fight. He thinks Haye is the perfect final opponent before retiring.

          Ugh go away man.

David Haye is actually showing you mercy. He said he doesnt want to fight you. Leave it at that.

Haye would most likely end Roys life. Seriously.

the third tarver fight was his last shot. since then he got a title fight with calzaghe, a title fight with green and some spotlight time plus a payday with hopkins none of which he deserved. he cant just keep hanging around when hes clearly no longer world class and hasnt been for years. to sanction this fight should be criminal, boxing is supposed to be competetive and this would be a massacre. roy might end up seriously hurt and even if he doesnt its a disgrace to the sport if it was to happen at all.

roy might just be the saddest story in all of boxing, if he wants to keep fighting thats one thing, hes a grown man and should make his own decisions. but u have to earn the chance to fight for a title, he needs to accept that hes no longer relevant.
