Go read a book, son.... the cat has 40 knockouts.

Roy is so deluded these days it's not even funny anymore. He really does need to hand em up, and fighting Haye would just diminish his status further more. Roy is just a bad smell in boxing who needs to go away.

Theres certain fights Jones can still take and ask for, this is not one. he cannot fight at HW against elite fighters period.

Pretty sure that would be something to talk about.
It would be significant for his legacy, but theres no way he can take those punches Ruiz got his face broke with. I think Haye is lazy and fights about 35 seconds a round in very small spurts, but at this point I can't see Jones being able to take a clean one even if he is firing in small spurts.

I feel you, but Haye is fast enough and has enough power to KO Roy Jones at this point, I love Roy Jones Jr and will keep watching him fight no matter what, but in my mind I cannot see him being able to take those punches. Haye and Ruiz fought the same day as Jones & Hopkins rematch and had more fouls in there fight than Jones and Hopkins did somehow, No way Jones can eat those rabbit punches Ruiz was.

To call Haye an elite at heavyweight is laughable, he could have fought the likes of chambers, peter, povetkin, solis, or even arreola. All those opponents I mentioned are and have always been consider better than any opponent Haye has beaten at heavyweight. Oh yeah, Haye also beat the great tony bonin or whatever that guys name was. That was Hayes first fight at heavyweight and I don't even remember the guys name.

How's this he's a PLAYER...lmao Haye is it after the K bros, it's just the state of the division, it's terrible. So while Haye may not be elite to all, he is a main player currently on that scene so his name does hold some weight being that there are atleast two HW fights people really want to see him in.

Oh Roy would get annhilated by Haye at this point in the game

I was just responding to the notion that even if he won, it wouldn't mean anything... which isn't true at all..

I think it is safe to say that the losses to Calzaghe, Green, and Hopkins don't really count against Roy legacy because he is seen as a shot fighter. Do you agree?

Now lets say he does the impossible and goes to HW and beats Haye. He should get all the credit in the world for that.

However, my question is should the Calzaghe, Green, and Hopkins lost count more against his legacy if he is able to beat Haye?

Nah cause regardless of whether he did the impossible, I don't think it changes that he's a shot fighter.

If he beat Haye it'd just be an insane aberration. It would be one of the best wins of his career BECAUSE he's so shot. The other bad losses still don't tarnish his legacy because he's shot.

It absolutely destroys Haye's career is what it does.
