tyson wasnt trained to get up on his toes and dance around and it wouldnt be effective for him either so i dont really understand the question,

I think he wants to know if Tyson had the ability to do it, no whether it would be effective for him or not, but does he have the ability to do it and if he would do it well or not.

Dancing does not equal speed. The early Tyson was fast because he was trained to move in and out of punching range quickly and to stay inside only when an opponent was neutralized. Speed does not necessarily mean floating around a ring a la Ali.
