Pac has also ducked Juan Diaz more than once.
    Pac has ducked Joan Guzman
    Pac has ducked Tim Bradley
    Pac has ducked Shane Mosley
Pac has ducked Edwin Valero (when he was alive)
    Pac has ducked Michael Katsidis
Pac has ducked a 3rd Marquez fight
    Pac has ducked Paul Williams
Pac has ducked a Cotto rematch (cause Cotto wants OST for Pac)

besided duicking fighters, Pac is a STEROID user.

and on top of "juicing up", ducking/avoiding many other fighters, Pac has had FIXED FIGHTS.

    Pac-DelaHOya was FIXED
    Pac-Clottey was FIXED
and now Pac-Margarito will be FIXED.

Pac is afraid of a real challenge.
Not that I'm taking your post seriously or anything , but I'm curious as to why you left Cotto-Pacquiao out of the "fixed" list...

and of course, margarito isn't the biggest threat that manny could have faced, certainly there are more fighters deserving. im not pretending that manny is doing something ground breaking when he fights margarito. but to think that he doesn't pose a threat is just plain ******.
Yeah, he could be a threat. But the whole "he's a threat because he's bigger" is a little played out now. That was debunked a few fights ago. I don't know what you mean by Margarito is a hungry fighter. You hope he is. He's getting a pretty nice check for this and the guy signing it expects him to lose. So I don't know. But I agree on your last paragraph. And that is the point, these aren't quite the bouts we should be expecting back to back. Look, if Manny wants to relax a little, fine. But this is what is wrong with boxing and people who support this maneuver. We willingly fork over $60 bucks in the name of "supporting the sport" when that's the very thing that's killing it.

Also people tend to forget that Pac actually agreed to testing up to the day of the fight and floyd simply pretended that the negotiations didn't happen.

Though i blame both pac and floyd for the failure of the last two negotiations, this third one was all floyd's.

            • These flame threads are so lame. If Floyd wasn't such a prima donna he would be in the other corner on November 13th, showing the world he's the better fighter. The fact is, he's not sure he can beat him and certainly not easily. I hope this bull**** is settled once and for all, conclusively, next year. Perhaps then the ******s will **** off and we can get back to discussing boxing again.

Pac didnt stick around @ 135 where there were some good match-ups. the DeLaHoya fight catapulted Manny above anyone with high risk/ low reward.

Why didn't Pac have his one fight at 135 against Juan Diaz? Juan posed a bigger challenge than David, this is the definition of a cherry pick. Why does does Floyd get called out for doing the same thing but Manny doesn't? The majority of u are simply a bunch of double standard hatin ass fan boys who are so called boxing fans. Some of u are pathetic haters. BOTH FLOYD AND MANNY DESERVE CRITICISM PERIOD! Floyd should have fought Cotto and he cherry picked a title from Gatti, I'm a Floyd fan at least I can admit his bs. Don't even get me started on Pac and his ridiculous catch weights.

However, if he did fight all comers he would of fought Raheem in 2006.

he would of fought Guzman and Soto in 2007.

He would of fought Shane Mosley

He would of fought JMM III

He would be fighting P-Will right now in Nov.

Since he didn't it is clear he doesn't fight all comers.

But, in this day and age it is hard to fight "all comers".

Elite fighters now fight at the most 3 times a year, some just once a year. And, that is just ridiculous.

However, in 2011 if Manny is not going to retire then he needs to pick up the level of competition again.
Thank you, finally some common sense.

you obviously haven't been watching boxing at that time...

david diaz was already set as an opponent for pacquiao even before he fought marquez... he could have stayed there, but faced a way bigger threat in de la hoya.

david diaz was a tune up.

he then faced oscar, hatton, cotto in that order.. pretty damn impressive no matter how you spin it.

his last fight and his upcoming fight aren't the two best available, i agree with you that much. still, clottey presented a threat, margarito presents a threat.

as IAMDAZED says, manny's resume is pretty hard to criticize. its phenomenal, but i do agree with jrosales that manny needs to pick it up in 2011. he has an opportunity to make it higher in the atg rankings. he's already in it, but it is possible he can do much more.

hopefully floyd grows some balls at that time.
