Comments Thread For: Haye: Klitschkos Like To Fight Old, Run-Down Americans

WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is warning the Klitschko brothers to come to the table before October 2011, which is the target date for Haye's planned retirement from boxing. Haye wants to retire before October 13, 2011, the date of his 31st birthday. Before walking away from the sport, he wants to face Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title, or Wladimir Klitschko for the IBF, IBO and WBO crowns.

This guy is an absolute delusional moron. 50/50 was on the table for a shot at either of the two best heavyweights in recent years, and he's acting as if he's more than who he really is. A seminal talent...nothing more or less, who is about to fight Audley Harrison. This guy is a joke.

Honestly this guy makes Kermit Cintron seem normal.

I'm not taking Haye's defence here, but one thing is sure, and every opponent and potential opponent of the Klits, they're all unanimous about it : the Klits are cheap, greedy, and they want to keep it all for themselves most of the time (Haye, Adamek, Valuev, etc.)

with that said, I do think 50/50 is a fair deal for everyone, both a Klit and Haye

I'd love to see Haye knock the brothers out, but his mouth and running makes it hard for me to get behind him.... Old run down Americans... Monte Barrett, John Ruiz?

How is Haye going to warn the Klitschkos? If the Klitschkos are the Heavyweights to beat, they don't need to chase Haye. WHo the heck is Haye to demand anything? You gotta beat the man to be the man, plain and simple. If Haye retires without fighthing one of the twin towers, his career won't stand up to theirs. They don't need Haye. Haye needs them.
