I've said it many times recently and I'll say it once again. Haye's a lying hypocrite. Sure the Klitschko's fight those who are over the hill, never where's, never going to be's, and of course has been's and so does David Haye. There's something that sets them apart though.
The Klitschko's fight these types of fights because they've beaten everyone of note in the heavyweight division. They're not interested in retiring so what choice do they have? It's not as though there's some hidden talent out there that has yet to be discovered. Every single contender of note has been blown out of the water by the Klitschko's so now they've moved onto lesser opposition, not out of desire but out of necessity. They only meaningful fight for either Klitschko right now is David Haye and until that happens expect to see them continue fighting bums.
Haye on the other hand turns down every offer given by the Klitschko's to make the fight. Haye also backs out of fights and prices himself out of deals that just about any other fighter would jump at, even if they know it means they'll lose, by claiming that the Klitschko's are unfair in negotiations and offer only slave contracts. Contracts mind you that the the vast majority of other heavyweights have no problem signing even though they're aren't getting a 50/50 deal. Haye selects opponents that pose the least amount of risk even though it damages his reputation and earning potential outside of England. Haye has been given every opportunity to make a fight with a Klitschko happen yet there's always an excuses...every single time. Haye is grasping at straws everytime there's negotiations with a Klitschko. Additionally the Klitschko's have modified their offers multiple times in order to try and meet Haye's ridiculous demands, all to no avail. In these ways Haye's done everything he can to avoid fighting a Klitschko and I expect it to continue up until his retirement.
I wholeheartedly believe that even if the Klitschko's where to offer Haye an 80/20 purse split in Haye's favor Haye would simply find another excuse. Haye's always to tired, injured, can't agree on a purse split, agree to a location, etc. etc. With Haye's self imposed retirement date and his gross inactivity Haye's got what, maybe two fights left in him. Does anyone believe that those fights will be against a Klitschko? I predict Chagaev and then Jones Jr.
