its funny blut like jones said afterwards, he gets paid to be there. so hes not at all wasting his time. i pay my hbo subscription to see boxing and good commentary. i dont pay to hear larry's lack of professionalism. the reason he gets away with stuff like that is because of who he is. he, like gray, cossell and other announcers came from a different era and they were/are certainly powerhouses in the sports media business. but that doesnt make it ok to ruin events.

I hear what ur saying, I'm just a big fan of his so I am biased. But we all have our own styles we like so to each his own.

Spanning from mocking Gerarld McClellan (albeit he didn't know what had happened and spear of the moment it looked like what he said) all the way to recent years and not understanding that both fighters can be warned at the same time and going bat crazy over it.

He is obsessed with work rate and more time than not workrate = The round.

Those two were face first brawlers, and that's why he sounds like a **** when talking about a fight in which one the fighters style doesn't resemble theirs. Plus he's from NY, and I assume you have a idea about race relations in the past. Do I think he's racist...No. I do believe his views are ethically bias at times, and that it is reflection of what we see in society everyday.
