Cotto, Clottey, Mosley, Margarito, PWill etc...

from 2005-2010 those are the BIG NAMES in WW in which Floyd has been there since 2005 (if i'm not mistaken). And that period of time Manny was still fighting at 130-135 lbs devision (we never knew he will fight in WW devision). Floyd in the other hand keeps avoiding those big names for the last 5 years and yet Manny who came from 130 and who now fighting at 154 division in just a short period of time.

Manny: fought Cotto, Clottey, Margarito (soon)

Floyd: fought Mosley (It took almost 5 years to grow a pair)

      TRUE STORY!!

What's worse, a guy being an idiot by himself, or a guy being an idiot by copying another idiot?

Ya right .... discussions about Manny using PEDs started when your hero Floyd brought up that accusation. Only then did these PEDs thread popped up like crazy.

All this with no proof..... now that is thinking for yourself...lol

Floyd fans are fishing with this. Floyd fans are always complaining why does Arum continue to have these fights with his stable of fighters.

Mosley new and Roach new that there was not going to be any Mosley fight in the short run because they had Cotto in mind. That's right, another one of Arum's fighters.

          It's as simple as that.

Clottey was ranked #4 by The Ring at the time.

            And that loss was controversial.

And Cotto and Mosley were generally considered to be neck and neck at that time, because Cotto had fairly recently beaten Mosley, and there was a question mark over Cotto's loss to Marg. Mosley was ranked #1 by a very short head, the way Mayweather is ranked #1 at Welterweight by a very short head now, and the way that Pac is ranked #1 P4P by a very short head now. IOW both Mosley and Cotto had strong arguments to be considered the #1 fighter at the time and there was very little in it.

why would Cotto be considered number 1? he won a gift wrapped WBO vacant belt looked less then impressive defending it. since being KOd by Margarito he wasn't a shell of the boxer he used to be

by the way Cotto vs Mosley was a very close fight and some people thought Mosley should have won

Because he beat Mosley and had easily the best Welterweight resume of any Welterweight at the time. In any case I didn't say he was #1, I said that he and Mosley were more or less considered joint #1, the way Pac and Mayweather are now.

That's not true. Against Foreman he looked the same as he ever did. And Clottey was under-rated. He went into survival mode against Pac, because styles make fights, but against most styles, he was considered a beast, and he would still beat the majority of Welterweights.

It was close but not controversial. Most people agreed that Cotto won.

                  It's quite simple, really.

Manny talks indirectly through Freddie Roach -- So if Freddie speaks and Manny doesn't step to the plate to correct things Freddie states --
Then Everyone assumes Manny agrees with everything Roach says.

                  Hence, Manny ducked Mosley.

                  End of.
