yes, that makes perfect sense. Since hopkins is fighting elite fighters, his age isn't a factor.

So because Ali was fighting elite fighters in Larry Holmes and Leon Spinks, Ali's age was not a factor in his performances.

Because Sugar Ray Leonard was fighting elite fighters in Terry Norris and Hector Camacho, his age was not a factor in his performances.

    Your logic does not compute.

nothing computes with you when it comes to somebody having an adverse opinion of hopkins overrated career...

the fights you speak of, have already taken place and are in the history books...we talking about hopkins right now, fighting top fighters and you making up excuses for him regarding his age and the response to that is simple, if he's too old to compete, get the f**k out...

i bet you hopkins doesn't think he's too old to compete with pascal, dawson, cloud, etc.

    • Hopkins holding the IBF belt for most of his career + Allen becoming the mandatory on several occasions + a NC in one of the fights= Hopkins-Allen trilogy

The IBF is the quickest to strip and Hopkins was not as popular nor making nearly as much as the Klitschko's are. He was essentially a slave to whatever the IBF wanted.

I am not bernard hopkins you idiot. Hopkins can think/believe whatever he wants to believe.

As a boxing fan I am saying he IS old. 46 is old for any sport, let alone boxing. He is not the same fighter he once was and this is obvious.

How can you not understand this? Oh that's right, all you do is hate on hopkins, that's 99% of your posts on this website.

Yes it was the correct strategy because he almost won. If he would have had more stamina in the late rounds and threw more punches he would have got the victory. He physically couldn't do it though.

Same here I have his entire career on DVD. Hopkins used to destroy his opponents in his prime. You can put in one of those old DVD's and watch how differently hopkins fought today.

Sure he used some dirty tactics in some of his fights, but he was much more offensive minded and threw a lot more punches.

lol stfu you ginger fuuck. You know everything I know and more?
Ginger **** hey? Ive had alot more pvssy than you. I'd bet my life on it. I actually fight myself dum dum and I'm a gym rat. My GF is a 2 time national champ. I train fighters and have a respectable name in Canadian ametuer boxing. WTF have you done?

i don't give a f**k if he's 90....if he's competitive or ****** enough to step in that ring, then he's held to the same criticism as anyone else....so if he loses, don't say he lost because he's old, just say he LOST.....

you hopkins excuse makers kill me....he was too green when he lost to jones, was robbed when he lost 2X to a green as grass Taylor, was robbed when he lost to Calzaghe in a fight where he landed one counter per round, clinched and held most of the fight, and faked like he was hurt....now the new thing is he's old before the fight takes place....tito, de la hoya....nobody can pimp excuses for them, even though they both were blown up welterweights....hopkins ballickers will go to great length to prove they were legit middleweights...

...and for the record nasa, you got damn near 17,000 posts on this board, and everybody knows 17,000 of 'em are you making up excuses for hopkins....

Yeah, Hopkins' boxing brain developed so much that he was able to stave off physical decline for years and live out a kind of protracted prime (keeping himself as acutely conditioned as possible helped, obviously), but that ongoing decline will eventually bring him to a point where his body is unable to take advantage of his brain...and that point may be about upon us. I don't think he wins a decision in Canada with Pascal's style.

the truth is he knew light heavyweight was going to be ruled by clinton mitchell for the next 20 years so he dropped down to middleweight to hide from him.
