Boxing is a cold sport, though.

I am not celebrating Briggs getting hurt, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy seeing Vitali crush him after all the crap Briggs has talked about the brothers for years.

On the other hand, I did gain respect for Briggs at the same time.

That's boxing. There is always a part of it that is a bit cold. After all, you are trying to knock someone senseless every time you go in the ring.

Yes, Briggs staying on his feet shouldn't diminish Vitali's dominating win.

Vitali has seldom looked more brutally effective.

Funny, the Vitali Haters were talking about how he couldn't knock briggs out and how vitali has lost his punching power.Brigg's stated he's the strongest fighter he's faced and the fact that Vitali broke a bunch of bones in Brigg's face and that he's in ICU,should tell you Hater's that he still got it.

Briggs wasn't too bad leading up to this fight, but he has talked some pretty vile smack about the K-Bros for years on "other" boxing sites (like the one on the East Side). So in that sense he got his comeuppance yesterday. But at least he was very classy in defeat.

Yep he was very classy, actually really surprised me... he did say a lot of **** about them in the past but regardless, you don't want to see someone get seriously hurt for our entertainment (well maybe there are some sick ****ers who would pay to see someone get beaten to death but I am not one of those). I hope Briggs recovers fully, much respect to him...

It was my sense that, unlike with Haye, Vitali and Wlad actually liked Briggs and didn't take his trash talk too seriously ... but if he deserved a beating for the stuff he's said in the past, like saying Wlad is a ****sexual, etc., he got that and more.

If the fight would have been stopped after round 8, it would have saved Briggs a lot of punishment. Vitali busted Shannon's nose after that, for one thing.

Bute battered Brinkley pretty badly, too. Brinkley was down for a long time at the end of the fight.
