That was a long time ago though and he's always going to look quick against Ward. The guy above was trying to use Gatti in his fight with PBF as a yard stick for how a Hatton v PBF would go. Gatti barely threw a punch and would have been beaten by any top 10 fighter with that performance. He had zero hand or foot speed in that fight.

Hatton wouldn't just stand in range and let Floyd potshot him like Gatti did. He moves in and out pretty quickly and would give Floyd serious problems, especially as PBF is pretty open to hooks with his defence.

Everyone want's to see this fight & it's a shame that boxing fans around the world might not even get to see this fight. I wish this will be the next fight for PBF & Hatton, but I have a feeling that this fight might never happen. Just like Barrera & Morlaes against PBF.

I've seen 8 or 9 Gatti fights. I'd say they're pretty close on handspeed but Hatton has much quicker feet, which is why he's a lot more effective at closing down his opponents than Gatti. Floyd wouldn't be able to get away from Hatton very easily, he'd have to do his work up close.

I'm desperate for this fight to happen too. I think Hatton genuinely wants it and Warren probably knows if he gets in the way of it he'll be out, so I'm pretty confident it will happen next year. I'm actually more concerned with seeing this fight happen than about Hatton losing. Even if he did lose it's hardly the end of the world, especially when it's against someone like PBF. I've got confidence in my boy though.
