Do the British overrate Hatton?

Over-rate? nobody knows yet for sure. I cant blame the Brittish for following this guy. His style is pretty darn exciting coupled with his record, an understandable draw IMO.

Yeah, you really have to have seen more of his fights, though. The first time I saw him, which was pretty much when I first joined here, I thought (this guy is pretty damn good). I really wanted Tszyu to beat him, though, because... well... he's British, so...

At any rate, that's why people like him. He's really exciting to watch. A pretty ballsy guy.

There's a difference, I don't see any hate mongering or even being an ******* in his post. He could have worded it better but he voiced his opinion that Hatton is overrated and the British like him because he's their guy. Meh.

As far as Hatton goes I think he's definately a good fighter. I haven't seen enough of him against good opponents to judge him thuroughly.

I think hes overated. It's cuz He's british, he's getting way overhyped. The Brits are always like that, every Soccer World Cup, England are blown up to be the eventual winners, but they never win. Good job to the British Media...I can't wait to see this guy fall flat on his face agaisnt Floyd.

Well I'm gonna start the bashing, wait till Hatton comes to America, his ass is gonna get handed to him. Just like the UK Grim Reaper and pretty soon the Italian who puffed the magic Dragon. These UK overrated bums will get knocked the phukked out.

Beating a fighter like Kostya will always get you overrated. Hatton is most probably a skilled fighter, it's just that the man he beat is so legendary and so iconic that he will inherit the same legendary status of the man he beat, until he gets exposed, that is.

Granted that may not actually happen in the near future, a good appraisal of Hatton's talent will not be fully truthful if we all base it on just the Kostya Tszyu fight.
