40 lbs of what? Fat or muscle? What kind of muscle? How useful is all that muscle if you're a 38 year old asthmatic that hasn't taken care of himself and is gasping for air? I would highly highly doubt that the Briggs that stepped in with Vitali is conditioned anywhere near as well as a prime Briggs from ten years ago.Comment

You have to be kidding me. You think he's actually lowered his body fat percentage since he was in his prime? You think this guy went from 340 lbs before this fight, when he obviously wasn't training, and walked into the ring with a lower body fat percentage than he's ever had in his life? He's bulky as hell, like a body builder, but that doesn't mean he's packed on pure muscle.Comment

Wow someone made sense! WTF is going on Bscene?Manny doesn't have to drain to make weight anymore, which is why his chin is better. And he's conditioned better.
Shannon Briggs hasn't taken care of himself for a long time and has taken a lot of punishment over his career. There is no way he can take a better punch now than he could when he was in his prime, and in much better condition without so many miles on his body.Comment

briggs is OVERWEIGHT.
being overweight doesn't allow you to take a better punch. did you not see the rolls on the side of his stomach????
