    anyone whos really ever boxed..doesnt weight allow you to take a better punch?

    gaining more muscle,expecially in the legs builds a better foundation which allows to you better absorb a punch..common damn sense

      no. but if your weight drained you cant take much of a punch. if you get what im saying.
      some fight when they go up they just move up to a more natrual weight and are able to handle punches better than when they were at a smaller dehydrated state. but putting on muscle and fat and water weight doesnt allow you to take no punches. unless your some mutant who puts muscle around your skull and spinal cord

          Manny is proof of that. He got knocked out by two slim jims when he was 100 lbs. Now he eats power shots by Cotto and Clottey and doesn't flinch.

              it doesnt take a genius to figure this out..haters love to ignore facts..go hit a 150 pound fighter and a 200 pound fighter and tell me which one takes the punch better

                    Manny doesn't have to drain to make weight anymore, which is why his chin is better. And he's conditioned better.

                    Shannon Briggs hasn't taken care of himself for a long time and has taken a lot of punishment over his career. There is no way he can take a better punch now than he could when he was in his prime, and in much better condition without so many miles on his body.
