i searched all boxing matches in the next 60 days in the U.S and it didnt show the jones/tarver fight, it is scheduled for october 1st, right?

The deal was apparently struck last night as far as the venue for this fight. It isn't up yet but should be up in the next few weeks. Keep checking. They'll put up an on sale date when all is settled.

I'd be willing to bet the crowd will be predominantly for Roy. I imagine there are as many Jones fans in Tampa as their are Tarver fans. I think Tarver is really from Orlando but claims Tampa. The gulf coast region is big on Jones for the most part. pbds could probably tell you more about what goes on in Tampa than I could.

Now that I think about it...does Tarver really have a fanbase?

considering that Barrett-Rahman is a ppv (what the f**k ) I'd be stunned if Tarver-Jones 3 wasnt. Too many low level fighterss are being passed off at ppv prices lately!

....I don't personaly love the guy but I think your pretty close on the fan thing. I would guess 60/40 but who knows how many jones supporters will make it down.
