Well Jones still has a fan base there I guess and its good for the sport that they are moving the big fights around the country and not just sticking them to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and NYC. It gives the opportunity for kids who are interested in boxing to attend their first big fight and get inspired to work out and so on and maybe that will solve the obesity problem in the USA.
True that....
They should have all the HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fights in Vegas, and NYC...
I don't. Roy missed the press conference of course. Hey, can't blame him this time. It's like showing up to your funeral early
Does anyone care? I do...you do or you wouldn't have posted it. Roy didn't show on purpose...he is taking this fight seriously, no screwing around. We might see RJ Oct 1st...
...If it's in Tampa I am definitely interested. Sounds like a good time to get some boxingscene freaks together for a party at my pad before the fight.
According to the NYTimes it's going to be at the Mandalay Bay. Link
They got how Tarver won the rematch wrong, though. He won a UD, not SD.
Boxrec is also reporting it as being held in Tampa. I want to see a credible link on this, though.
HBO still has the venue as TBA.
JD, aka soundtraveler, told me on the phone last Fri. that it was definately gonna be in Memphis. He's working that night, announcing fights, so I'm sure he's right about that.

By freaks you mean this huge orgy type party, correct?
Good choice...I think the fight in going to be in Tampa its all over the internet.
Well, JD told me last Fri. that it was finally official..that they would fight again on Oct. 1st in Memphis. He's working the undercards that night ....weird.
