yes sir luisito espinosa aka "lindol" or "the king" used to be a feared fighter in his primetime and is a two-time world champion. even hamed was ducking him...to bad he didn't have any good management...his decision to let his wife takeover his career proved to be a bad mistake...he's still here in the us.s. fighting in some small and never-heard-of matches just to keep his green card status...manny is surely luckier than him.
yup sad story for Lindol Espinosa. but he sure is one of the Phil. boxing greats. ..

Yes, sad story, that Luisito. Manny should think about him whenever he's hit by the urge to bet a couple of hundred big ones in pool.

aside from luisito, manny should also put into mind rolando navarette when he is on his happy go lucky mode and onyok velasco every time he is being offered to guest on tv...

Rolando, yes! Manny and he come from the same town? Stark reminder for manny, Rolando.
Re: Onyok, don't know much about him save he got a silver medal at the summer games. He never turned pro, did he? Haven't heard about him.

onyok's job now is doing extras on tv, a comedian, he could have been our first olympic games gold medalist, but his popularity pulled him away from boxing to show business, he could have been Philippines greatest amateur boxer, but now that's history and i think his enjoying his new career earning some money without getting hurt....
In the post-match interview with Manny on TV, the commentators noted how Manny's powerful uppercut was the outcome of Roach's teaching Manny to draw power from his feet then upwards to his upper body while he delivered his punches. Manny replied that it was what his trainer called 105. Asked what a 105 was, Manny replied that it was a MORTAR. Googled it, it's actually an M101 105 mm howitzer: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m101.htm
thanks man. i guess i missed that part of the interview. you deserve a good karma for that.
