Neither of them, both are kinda natural reactions and not pure arrogance for what you seem to mistake them.
When I'm sparring, I also find myself smiling sometimes when I got hit with a good shot, it's part acknowledgement and part "alright, it's on", nothing wrong with that really. I also think the ****ing gloves thing is, apart from demonstrating that you can take those punches, is also a bit of acknowledgement and self-motivation, get yourself pumped, you know.
As for raising the hands in the air, yeah, I dislike that one, but a lot of fighters do it towards the end of the fight. I think there's plenty of time to celebrate your performance after the fight, the 3 minutes of the rounds are for business and not disrespecting your opponent and the whole showing confidence and superiority to the judges thing is annoying.
Amir Khan has started raising his hands too whenever he gets caught.
I noticed that too. You gotta admit, the kid looks up to Pac a lot.
Both gestures by Floyd and Manny doesn't bother me at all. I actually feel these habits are fighting mechanisms whenever they get hurt. I would say though that what Manny does is not wise at all. He can't do that when he fights Floyd, he'd be hit flush. See Morales-Pac I.

Boxer ****ing their gloves or smiling when they get caught shouldnt bother anyone, Its just an acknowledgement and motivation to them. But Khan does look up to Pac and the raising of the hand whenever he gets caught was something he must have picked up from Pac.
I personally hate it when pacquao ****s his gloves and does this ****** "come on" nod after getting caught. it shows how arrogant he is. kinda' like he's surprised he actually got hit.
i luv it when manny does that,it means hes ready for warrrrrrrrrrrrrr
at the same time i like it when you catch floyd and he just smiles, that usually means your in for a good beating now,ask mosley
I hate when Manny does it but I don't remember him touching his gloves. I remember it being the raising the gloves above his head. Maybe I have just forgot but I do remember always *****ing about it.

He does often.
But it doesn't annoy me at all.
What annoys me more is crying after every match as if you were in a life and death situation when all you were actually doing is potshotting the whole 12 rounds.
