Its no point. The fight does nothing for Manny. Again, there are other fights out there for Manny that would be better than Chavez Jr. That fight would likely take place at another catchweight for the title at 154. As a boxing fan, I don't want to see him fight another fighter at a catchweight that doesn't deserve to fight him, simple as that.



I'm not with the Mayweather vs Khan fight either. Again, I don't see a point in Floyd and Manny fighting these younger guys next year. They each need to fight each other. Not these younger fighters that haven't done too much and its not written in stone that they will still be undefeated by next year.

Fighters have always been built up like this and why are Amir and Chavez any different than when Manny built himself up to take on guys like Barrera, Morales etc.. and Floyd when he built himself up to take on someone like Oscar and other big names in boxing.

Amir said that after Maidana he wants to fight the winner of Alexander/Bradley next. Once he is unfied 140 champion he wants to challenge Floyd or Pacquiao.

Chavez isn't even a world champion yet, hasn't beaten anyone significant to date and has always looked like proper ****. Chavez needs to beat Pwill or Martinez to deserve a shot against Pacquiao.

Again we are talking down the road. Valero signed with Top Rank with the promise of a Manny fight. That didn't mean he would get it in a year....rather just like anyone else that is considered a prospect, he would get built up to where a fight between the two would make sense.

Sorry man...that was in reference to Floyd vs Khan or Manny vs Chavez. I was saying it wouldn't make any sense to have those fights earlier than that. Khan can use 2011 as a year of trying to clean out 140 and stepping up and proving himself at 147.
