Depends on how Chavez progresses as a fighter. If he knocks off Cotto, another top fighter at 154 like Angulo...then I can see this fight gettting made. I just think Chavez needs a few impressive wins, but with his fan base, name etc, why not?Comment

This is no different than GBP building up Amir for a future showdown with Floyd. Does either fight make sense next year....no, but if Amir and Chavez continue to progress and pass their respective tests...then those fights will happen down the road.Comment

Its no point. The fight does nothing for Manny. Again, there are other fights out there for Manny that would be better than Chavez Jr. That fight would likely take place at another catchweight for the title at 154. As a boxing fan, I don't want to see him fight another fighter at a catchweight that doesn't deserve to fight him, simple as that.
I'm not with the Mayweather vs Khan fight either. Again, I don't see a point in Floyd and Manny fighting these younger guys next year. They each need to fight each other. Not these younger fighters that haven't done too much and its not written in stone that they will still be undefeated by next year.
Mayweather vs Khan..no thank you.
Manny vs Chavez Jr..no thank you.Comment

This is Arum's way of saying **** you GBP, I have my own horse to feed my cash cow.
Who would forget that GBP attempted to make an arrangement with Arum for a Pac/Marquez trilogy as an alternative to the fight of the century gone kaput? Arum, of course, wanted none of it.
There is a cold war going on between GBP and Top Rank.
Real question is where tf is Floyd?Comment
