-Hopkins doesn't have that much trouble with fast fighters, thanks to his counterpunching and timing

you say look at his losses, well, Taylor isn't particularly fast, Jones had more to offer than speed and Calzaghe's speed didn't really give trouble to Hopkins, his workrate did (because Hop is an old man now)

we could also argue that Hopkins has never lost to Taylor nor Calzaghe (close fights)

      - I doubt Pascal will be able to keep Hopkins on the outside if Hopkins decides inside is a good place to be, I've seen fighters get inside on Pascal in the past, and Hopkins is a master at that

        good video.

it really does come down to what a soon to be 46 year old hopkins has left in the tank.

If he has just 75% of what he had against Pavlik, he will win.

If he is what he was against Roy Jones II, he'll lose on points mainly because of low workrate.

I think that's really it. Prime hopkins would obviously beat Pascal rather easily, but an old hopkins, there's no telling.

I agree with you on a few points there, but Taylor, Jones & Calzaghe were all considerably faster than Hopkins and so is Pascal.

Your right on the point that Hopkin will try and make it a slower inside fight and try and counter, but for me he is just to old and slow now for pascal.

                  maybe, I dunno.

Hopkins tends to do poorly against guys he's supposed to do good against and does awesome against guys he's supposed to lose to, so maybe it was a matter of not being very motivated.

                  Or he's just old.

remember how the pro calzaghe crowd influenced the judges into thinking calzaghe was landing when he wasnt? the same thing will happen in this fight.

I swear, I hope you're right, I don't want Hopkins to spoil what could be a lenghty reign of Pascal with some great unification fights ahead

I hope age finally catches up with Hopkins and that Pascal beats him decisively
