thats what i got out of it anyway. hopkins is +240 in casino's according to him at the moment.
cheers, thats sounds like a safe bet, cant see Hopkins getting stopped.

But im only gonna stick a tenner on it at most so im gonna go for odds to try and win a few quid.

yea, i wouldn't straddle, unless i was looking to break even. me personally i would just take the +240 and gamble on the old man to be the ruiner of pascals night........

      good luck.

The guy was reading he hsould of practiced a couple of times before recording.

But he did have good points. But I still have Pascal for the win.

but for the most part, FINALLY someone who really breaks down the quality of hopkins fighting style. i've been saying these things for years, and it's what has made me a real student of the game, watching hopkins. dwyer puts things very succinctly, setting up his explinations for what he was saying by giving backdrop on the who, the what, the whats up, the why and the how hopkins pulled it off. i've heard many people, announcers, internet heads, etc, say the same things over and over again about hopkins without really breaking down his game and seeing it for what it truely is and how it does hold a level of greatness.
i got hopkins in this fight, deep end of the pool type fight, with hopkins maybe getting the ko, tko, IF his old man armor can handle the young warriors assault?

          hopkins 11th round tko win.
so true...Dwyer did a excellent job in breakin' down the old master's game...brilliant job by Dwyer!!

Dwyer had Dawson beating Pascal as well, and he got that wrong, and he's got this wrong as well. This will be Hopkins retirement fight meaning he is going to get a whooping.

Hopkins can't fight against fast fighters and we have seen this over the years in his losses, Pascal has the hand speed & the foot speed and the power to keep Hopkins at range and at bay all night...

I thought it was an excellent analysis.

It is true that Pascal is not a counterpuncher in the center of the ring, but he tends to become one when you have him on the ropes.

If Pascal wants to win this fight, he has to make Hopkins fight at a faster pace then he is capable of fighting at his age.

Here, Pascal countering and knocking out an opponent off the ropes:

Keep doubting Hopkins. and keep favoring Pascal so the odds keep going up in his favor. That means more return for me.

Dwyer has brilliant boxing knowledge. But i'm not sure you can pick a winner here it's just luck.

You never know how Hopkins is gonna look. On one hand Hopkins will turn back the clock and put on a clinic ala the Pavlik fight, on the other hand he will look bad against a faster busier fighter and try to cheat his way through the fight to get the victory but still being second best like in the Calzaghe fight.

Pascal certainly ain't as limited as Pavlik but at the same time it's a very winnable fight for Hopkins due to Pascal's defence and inexperience. It's just whether he still has it in him at 45 to go the full 12 rounds with a faster opponent who throws more punches than him, also in his home town!

dwyer is all up on hopkins' nuts. it's not a secret that this guy loves counterpunchers and feels that the epitome or apex of boxing styles is counterpunching.

this fight is easy to call if you review the facts...

                      1) hopkins can't KO pascal
                      2) pascal can't KO hopkins
                      3) hopkins can't win a decision against pascal in Canada

the result: Pascal beats Hopkins by decision in Canada
