He's one of the most intelligent fighters in the sport, but the fact he leads with his head (which is an intentional part of his game plan), and the fact he doesn't have real knock-out power, means his fights usually aren't great to watch, except on an intellectual level, which is the main reason a lot of people dislike him. (I don't dislike him, but I do agree with those who do that he's not the most entertaining of fighters.) In all those respects he reminds me of B-Hop.

I always prefer technical fighters over punchers, and I like Ward's aggressive in-your-face style. I like that he brings more to the table than just moving and scoring from the outside.

But what I really like.....
I hate it when a young boxer/mover gets overawed by dirty tactics, or niggled off his game by a wily old vet. Ward has too many options to get caught out like that.

He is a very mature young fighter.

Folks who aren't Ward fans, save yourselves some misery......

Ward is being favored by Showtime. The guy keeps getting his fights in Oakland. This is just plain and simple not very fair. If Ward win the touirny it's because all his fights were at home. Abraham would be undefeated aswell if all his fights were at home. So would Kessler and so would Dirrell. Ward can't win without all the help that comes with a hometown advantage. Ward is pretty over rated do to these facts.
