    This fight only benefits Peterson.
    Bad management IMO.
They are talking about Lamont Peterson. Not Anthony Peterson.

Victor Ortiz however, may be too protected to fight Lamont Peterson.

This is a far better fight than Ortiz beating up on old ex-belt holders.

          1. Great Record
          2. Can't punch
          3. Coming off win(s)
          4. Not with a trainer that can devise a game plan to beat Ortiz
          5. Panics under the bright lights
          6. No promoter to deal with
          7. Inexperienced manager that will serve the fighter up for short money

Bottom line is that Peterson was the safest option out there! Peterson needs to re-evaluate his team before he starts the next stage of his career. He needs to learn how to use his strengths better as a pro fighter and quit playing to his opponents strengths.
i disagree with that. i think they picked peterson becuz he's ranked, good and becuz other opponents fell through.
this will probably be peterson's best payday. he needs to get whatever he can without a promoter.
its either that or stay inactive and try to build his career back up fighting locally.
lamont's a good fighter, hes got another opportunity to prove it.

i do however agree with your commentary on lamont's tactics. both he AND his brother did the exact opposite of what his trainer was telling them to do in their losses.

So if Victor does end up fighting Peterson will you shut up and give him credit?

I honestly thought Kotelnik was the perfect match-up for Ortiz at this stage of his career. Oh well anybody with a pulse will do I guess becuase beating old man Nate did nothing for Ortiz.

Well I'd ****in watch it... Just put it on the card dammit. Either Peterson, Urango, Kotelnik, Mabuza I don't care... Please don't let it be some nobody or some clearly faded fighter. If I see Ortiz/Witter I'm gonna puke.

I think it will get made...if not then I can see Urango being a replacement but Peterson will be the opponent for Ortiz...Peterson will get good money without a promoter...and even if he loses GBP will still sign him...as long as he gives Ortiz some what trouble but Peterson will get KO'd...

It takes more then just fighting him,its how he fights..He gave up against Maidana which is a big tell sign for me..If he fights peterson and win or loses gives his best effort I would give him alot of credit..I want to see the Ortiz that fought Harris not Campbell..
