Well, I was thinking about going to Vegas for Dec 11. Now I will for sure, with TWO good matchups on this card.

I favor Ortiz but there are alot of questions that need to be answered bout him..I believe Kottie would have been a harder fight, but I won't count out Peterson..He has skill and is tough and will look to put on pressure if in trouble..I'm most surprised that uncle Bob is letting Peterson fight an Ortiz at this stage of his career..

What??Are U nutts??Peterson has only lost once & it was to Bradley, hypejob, seriously??Wasn't Maidana supposed to be easy work for Ortiz, who had almost a half hour featured on him before Maidana made him quit??I think Peterson is just as skilled if not more skilled & he doesn't quit like Ortiz!!I actually think Peterson beats him!!

Ortiz shiould win this. Peterson is B-level at best. I've watched 2 fights of Peterson and he didn't impress me.

I think its more than a good test Lamont has the skills to give Vic major issues

from what I have heard from several people GBP is putting a lot of their younger prospects and stars through tough tests to clean house a bit

Good test for Ortiz. I like this fight a lot. This card is really coming together.

I'd say this is a 60/40 fight in favor of Ortiz.

peterson was getting rocked by bradley. I think top rank sees him as damaged good or lacking in potential, not to mention that Top Ranks gets a piece of Ortiz's purse everytime he fights. if ortiz wins, great! Top Rank gets to collect some cash. if peterson wins, great! Top Rank can build on that win.

Top Rank is in a win/win situation here.

I would say both the Peterson's need a new trainer, but neither listened to their trainer during their last loss. This should be a good fight because he had a good fight with Bradley, but Tim Bradley is the truth.

Its really a toss up on who wins this fight. If I absolutely had to bet, I'd put my money on Ortiz.

You've been calling for Lamont for a while now, good call.
Lamont still looked good even in losing to Bradley. This will be a good match up and a hard test for Ortiz. Lamont won't be a walk in the park for Vic. He's gonna have to work on bringing Petersens high guard down early in the fight by going to the body.
