At least he will bring punch volume and inside fighting to Ortiz. Something different. Maidana was one dimensional with his right hand. Peterson will go upstairs and down stairs with all kinds of punches.
anthony can punch. he's got legit LW power. its just that rios has a hell of a chin and is a HUGE lightweight. rios blew up to almost junior middle on fight night and it showed in the ring.
anthony tried to stay in the pocket and get some respect so that rios would stop coming forward, but he couldnt dent rios.

technically, both brothers are good. tactically, they both fought the wrong (but similar) fights. that being said, i dont think too many fighters wouldve been able to beat the bradley that showed up that night vs lamont. he was on fire and put on a clinic. i really dont know if he could replicate that performance he was so good.

if lamont fights the right fight this time around, i dont think he'll be a volume puncher. he should box and stay on that stick. hes got a very good jab. much better than victor's.

lamont vs ortiz is a pretty decent undercard fight.

HOWEVER, how the **** does beating lamont get him a shot at the winners of khan/maidana or bradley/alexander???!!!!

man, ****k schaefer and GBP!!!! based on the bull***** schaefer just stated, we already know their plan. schaefer has no intention of putting khan in against the winner of bradley/alexander.

that is some pu$$y as weaksauce

khan fighting ortiz would be more dangerous to khan than fighting the winner of bradley/peterson.
however it all shakes out, those are all great fights.

This is Ortiz' chance to make a statement...Ortiz will win by TKO round 7...I cant see Lamont being able to take Ortiz' short punches or his left cross...he's gonna make Peterson miss punches and will catch him clean...

As long as young guys in their prime are facing other young guys in their prime and lose, I'll never label them a bum.

You shouldn't be punished for taking risk, challenging yourself and aspiring to greatness. You should be rewarded. If a guy loses a fight like this, its no big deal imo. I didn't hold anything against Peterson when he lost to Bradley.

What the **** are you talking about?

Think about this for a min.... who else do you want him to fight on this short notice when all the top guys already have fights and set dates?

The other guys are pricing themselves out of a fight with Ortiz because they're asking for too much money.

What's the problem with Ortiz fighting a top 10 fighter in his division?

                      Don't pay him just yet

                      That information was not accurate.

The correct answer is..... we don't know yet, he still has questions to answer, and he failed when he was asked to step up.

It is technically inaccurate to call Peterson an over-rated hype job, unless you did the over-rating, and over-hyping
