hey thagreatest what do you think about benitez' chances, I would never put him on the same level of chavez, but he had a couple of pluses in the matchup:
- he made srl miss a lot (srl words)
- he took a hell of punishment against hearns at 154
on the other hand his career was so screwed and he was just a kid when he fought at 140,
ahhh man, I never seen Benitez fight, I only been watchin boxing for a year, but I'll try n get my hands on some of his fights...
I think Chavez would prolly beat Pryor like you said..
Castillo got robbed against Mayweather and Chavez is more skilled, I think Chavez would have a better chance then most people think..
I don't agree. Pryor would've beaten Chavez. Pryor before his ******* problem was another Hagler. Pryor ****ed up his career because of *******. This guy would've been another Hagler. Chavez & Duran were great fighters, but both of them are a little overrated.
IMO.....highly overrated people call him the Best ever and i don't understand it......should of got a L with Taylor and should of got an L with Whitaker....but hey if the sun don't shine then the sun don't ****

Man all these guys and there should ofs. I can point out many of them, that are the other way around. Chaves at 135 had only one guy that could match him and that was Duran. I cant honestly say who would win cause it would go down to who was the better fighter on that night.Like a guy said earlier Duran had a bigger frame but Chavez had the biggest determination ever.Castillo more than clearly Mayweather the first fight, it wasnt even close on the cards.(their even was a 10/8 round in that fight) The second fight was close and I think honestly Castillo could have won that one also.Chavez was a master at cutting the ring off, no way Mayweather can run the whole fight and win.Whitaker would probably win a very close fight with Chavez in their prime because he was naturally bigger and his defense was out of this world.Pryor wouldnt be able to withstand the onslaught and brutality Chavez brought at a young age.(9 rounds the most).Chavez is an all time great no doubt a living legend. GET THIS....You will NEVER in your lifetime see another Chavez.Remember he fought during the time were boxers actually fought every second of every round and fought hard.
