He not only lost but he lost big, 9-3 is a huge score in Amateur it wasnt a close decision.
    9 - 3 isn't "losing big" in the amateurs.

Khan, who fought under his grandmother's name Iqbal,

lol Mrs. Iqbal " Chinny Chin Jr" Khan lost! 9-3 to some villager from India, pwned!

If you went up against the same fighters you would have had your ass handed to you in the first round of the first round. It's easy to criticise behind your computer.

Cuba has like 10 people and produces world champs while India has 100000000000x people and their biggest achievment is beating Haroon Khan.

No wonder they made commonwealth games its so people from these countries can win something once in their lifes on a national level.
Erm, you do realise he could turn pro whenever he wants?

            Look at the countries competing

Except for Canada,England(and friends), NZ/Australia all the countries are 3rd world countries who's budget combined is probably less than Englands.

Look at the boxing one, none of these guys will be successfull pro's or even journeymen:

            Pakistan
            India
            Botswana
            Mauritius
            Tonga
            Bo*****
            Whales
            Kenya
            Scotland

are countries left, I dont know why people are hyping him up so much, he got defeated 9-3. If any of these people had world level boxing talent they would clean this competition up.

Alot of Canadian Athletes didnt go to these games because of security reasons and living areas being crap. Not sure about other countries
Amateur Boxing is big in Cuba, it isn't in India.

he should just turn pro imo, i remember reading somewere that golden boy offered him a contract due to his ameter record, he is better off taking there offer, just incase he messes up his ameteur game and they change there mind, he has a good style for pro game aswell.
