India won 3 medals in beijing...they have a relatively new boxing programme, it hasn't been around long at all but is on the up. So I wouldn't be so dismissive of them, the comparison to cuba a country obsessed with amateur boxing, is the type of point that could only come from a complete nitwit. The guy haroon lost to was the gold medal favourite. Whats the big deal? I actually think khan will make a good pro, he has more of a professional style then a amateur style, thats probably why he hasn't done quite as well as amir. He seems to have a pretty good chin also, from the little bits iv seen. You also completely contradict yourself seeing that khan who comes from a country with only 57 million people, lost to a fighter who comes from a country with over a billion people.

Because people were talking how he was so great and how UK lost a great talent. The level of competition at these Games is a joke and if he had any talent he wouldve won Gold, where are all the naysayers saying that UK screwed up? Theres a reason they didnt pick him.

I don't think anyone has said that he is so great, not even wazza, just that he was doing well, and maybe the english selectors made a mistake by not picking him, I personally think he is better than stubbs, and was quite unlucky not to get picked, a lot of people agree with me, and im sure there are plenty who don't. Either way he was unlucky not to get picked. I think your also forgetting he is only 19 and that amir at 17 was a freakish talent, and whilst I agree that the standard at the commonwealth games is below par, it is not pathetic like your suggesting.
