anyone who believes that Dirrell faked a concussion or whatever just to not fight is a dumbass, especially if youre 'dead set' on that point of view.
fact is us random people on the internet have no idea what is actully going on, and yall probably should just stop talking until real medical reports and something come out.Comment

if dirrell is really experiencing neurological problems, then he should quit boxing forever immediately.
if dirrell is faking it, then he should also quit boxing, because no one wants to watch a biitch-ass pu$$y faker who pulls out of fights.
either way, the solution remains the same: dirrell must quit boxing.Comment

by David P. Greisman - The flow of information is a beast that cannot be tamed. Not in politics. Not in business. And not in boxing.
Not in this era of 24-hour news cycles and hyperconnectivity.
For every state secret, there is a muckraking reporter who finds a source that wants nothing more than to talk about it. For every scandal thought to be under wraps or sought to be swept under the rug, there are countless newspapers, television stations, websites and blogs asking questions, and there are countless employees, mistresses and accusers who will come forward with answers.
For every case in which someone finally comes forward to tell the truth, there are those who will wonder whether that truth is the whole truth, or whether there is a conspiracy that could unfold with just a little prying.
Even before Andre Dirrell withdrew from Showtime’s “Super Six” super-middleweight tournament, there were questions about his scheduled fight with Andre Ward. There are even more questions now that Dirrell has pulled out of the tournament due to what are said to be neurological issues.
The first questions were asked six months ago, following Dirrell’s victory via disqualification over Arthur Abraham. They intensified as the date for Dirrell’s bout with Ward approached. They remain even though Dirrell will not fight Ward and even though Dirrell’s team has explained why that is so. [Click Here To Read More]
That's all I wanted to say!
...oh and um...G-damn you two for not fighting! I was reallly looking forward to watching Dirrell take apart Ward. Too bad they're ***** butt buddies.Comment

The limited Abraham will look the worst of Ward's opponents to date.
I see it that he has a small punchers chance.
According to what you just said, Abraham has no chance at all......

Greisman, I'm sorry, but you're a terrible ****ing writer. I would comment on the subject matter but I didn't even finish the piece cuz you absolutely suck at writing. The ****tyness of this article made this whole topic even that much more frustrating. Go write for an MMA site.

I posted this yesterday on another article, but I think it bares repeating because some people just don't seem to get it. Dirrell could have chosen from a whole host of injury excuses that would have had a hell of a lot less serious implications in the future.
"As much as I believe that neither Andre wanted to fight each other, there were many other "injury" excuses they could have used that would have been a lot easier than this one. Boxing commisions take brain injuries very seriously. To come out with a neurological problem is the last excuse a fighter would want to use in this day and age if it were untrue. He will have a hard time being approved for a fight now, or for a long time, even if he wants to. I just don't think they would have used an excuse this serious if they had any intentions of continuing on any time soon with Dirrells fighting career."Comment

Nice effort.
Still a concussion will cause the same concerns as other neurological issues.
As far as sprains go they usually heal within a relative short timeframe and can IMO not warrant for a complete withdrawal as was the case with Dirrells neurological disorder.
Man, is there a doctor in the house?Comment
