I love how there's now this mystique about Al Haymon, a guy that so many know so little about, other than that he represents a bunch of boxers, that he has a lot of sway at the networks (particularly HBO), and that he's gotten his guys paid far more money than they deserve.
But beyond that, people make him out to be Keyser Soze. Heck, it might be true, but there's nothing to these thoughts but, "Hm, I bet..."Last edited by Mr. David; 10-11-2010, 06:08 PM.Comment

Nice effort.
Still a concussion will cause the same concerns as other neurological issues.
As far as sprains go they usually heal within a relative short timeframe and can IMO not warrant for a complete withdrawal as was the case with Dirrells neurological disorder.Comment

and the head trauma thing is much better than a back issue for faking. Tests would show herniated discs, injured muscles, inflamed joints, etc. The head tests could show nothing and it would go labeled as some mysterious condition like epilepsy or migraine headaches which aren't going to be detectable on a test such as a catscan. All the docs have to go on is Dirrell's word...it could just be something psychological and they would have to believe him and take him for his word rather than risk his health.Comment

Wrong injury choice for team Dirrell look at Joe Mesi he could never get approved to fight for years after his brain injury...Comment

I would imagine the ones that would plague a person for more than 6 months should be....injuries of the spine. Most swollen, irritated muscles should not be an issue for half a year. I'm no doctor of course but everytime I hear of someone complaining about a long term back issue, it is always an issue with their spine. Head stuff is hard to detect unless there is brain swelling, bleeding, or a dense pocket such as a tumor.Comment

the great thing is boxing doesn't need a person like dirrell or ward. girly men who back out of fights and play games get left behind and since there are no fans involved there is no popularity or demand for their sissy style of patty cake fighting. Good riddance now go to barber college.Comment
