Denis has had a lot of problems with his hands, that is why he took some time off recently and is coming off of hand surgery.

Its a bad and unfortunate sign at only 24 years old.

He also had several noted health problems as a teenager.

If his health holds up, he should easily win this tournament.

What were his health problems as a teenager?

Boytsov declined to participate, he's been replaced by Eddie Chambers.

      from fight news:

      IBF orders heavyweight box-off

While IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko had to search long and hard to find an opponent for his planned December 11 defense at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany (eventually settling on England’s Dereck Chisora), wheels are already in motion to find the most deserving IBF mandatory title challenger for longtime champion.

In an innovative move that will produce some intriguing fights, IBF has ordered a four fighter box-off involving Alexander Dimitrenko, Johnathon Banks, Eddie Chambers and Jean Marc Mormeck (Dennis Boytsov was initially offered a spot in the group, but declined). Dimitrenko will face Banks and Chambers takes on Mormeck in the first round with the winners to collide in 2011. Negotiations are currently ongoing between the various camps.

Its bad, but i think its because hes just comming back from a serious injury. So with Eddie Chambers its clear who wins the tournament. Chambers beats all of them. So he can fight Wlad again and get knocked out again....hes a verry good boxer but he has not the size and power to beat Wlad.

It won't be as interesting without Boytsov though.

Since Chambers has already fought and been KOed by Wlad, I'd prefer to see Arreola in the eliminator, or even Rossy.

Chambers should pursue a WBA title, I think he'd beat Haye.

Rossy and Arreola? Are you kidding me? Chambers has already said he's interested in fighting Wladimir again, and he's getting his chance. Dimitrenko vs Chambers II will most likely happen. Banks is garbage and so is Mormeck. If Chambers vs Wladimir II happens, I just don't know how Chambers can overcome the height and reach difference.

Basically this is a heavyweight tournament with 3 guys who are natural Cruiserweights but don't feel like making weight.

Then there is Dimitrenko who fights like he is 4'5 and 90 lbs.

So Chambers will win and then he'll probably get KOed again by Wlad, great

****ing Boytsov, the new guys are too afraid to step up their competition, except Helenius and Pulev. Pulev is fighting Guinn next, which is excellent for a guy with 8 fights.
