Possible IBF heavyweight eliminator with Boytsov, Mormeck, Dimitrenko and Banks?

True. But that was because Teddy Atlas told Povetkin to back out of the fight with Wlad.
The idea of a four-fighter eliminator is a good one, because it creates interesting matchups. Otherwise, the contenders often tend to either fight clubfighters or remain inactive.Last edited by The Hammer; 10-10-2010, 11:23 AM.Comment

Possibly, but I have a feeling his promoter Kohl will want him to go through with it.
If he doesn't though, who might the replacement be? Maybe Rossy?

Well if he thinks he is gonna be the guy the Klitschkos choose for an optional defense in the Ukraine next year why would he go through the trouble of fighting for the right?
Especially when he is soft as baby **** and falls apart everytime he gets hit.Comment

Here's another article about it:
IBF to stage tournament to face Klitschko
Sunday, 10 October 2010 14:55
One of boxing's governing bodies, the IBF, plans to organise a four-fighter tournament with the winner facing world heavyweight champion Vladimir Klitschko, it was reported on Sunday.
The IBF are negotiating with the quartet of France's Jean-Marc Mormeck, America's Johnathon Banks, plus Russians Alexander Dimitrenko and Denis Boytsov.
The winners of the tournament would than face Klitschko, who has 55 victories, 49 knock-outs and three defeats, and holds the IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight belts.
Klitschko has defended his IBF title nine times, the latest when he knocked out Nigeria's Samuel Peter in the tenth round last month.
The Ukrainian's next fight is against undefeated British fighter Dereck Chisora in December.Comment

Mind you, for all of Denis's talents (and im opinion, he is is VERY talented and is probably the next in line after Klitschko)
Denis has had a lot of problems with his hands, that is why he took some time off recently and is coming off of hand surgery.
Its a bad and unfortunate sign at only 24 years old.
He also had several noted health problems as a teenager.
If his health holds up, he should easily win this tournament.Comment
