He clearly didn't intend on making weight.

if they had fought in a 135. it would be competitive. i dont believe those guys saying that weight is not the difference. JMM was at his best weighing 130 lbs plus. so lightweight fight against Mayweather would have been competitive. JMM has power and speed in a lighter weight. but we all know FLoyd is better than Marquez but what im saying the fight would be more competitive though

You think there's class in boxing?

So he takes this dangerous, smart, skilled opponent, and he makes him go up to welterweight at a catch weight that's still 3 weight classes above anywhere he's ever fought.. and floyd has been in the sport since he was born, who's highest weight ever in the ring was 150 against oscar, amidst an extra 2 months of training because he hurt his shoulder... and he couldn't make the weight? Not just that he missed the weight, but he came in 2 pounds over- that's huge.. especially when marquez already has his head below the water.

Makes no sense. I think Floyd was so eager to prove that he was better than Pacquiao without fighting him that he pulled out all the stops on this fight.
              2 weight classes higher.

As a Mayweather fan, he should have made weight, and if he knew he would weigh in heavier he should have just said that from the start and not have a catchweight, atleast let Marquez know.

But they did not. There was a catchweight agreed on that Floyd choose to disregard. And JMM was just willing to get (p)laid............Nice...............

But be honest now, even if Floyd came at the original agreed weight, do you think JMM had a chance?

                I believe none...........

Floyd could've easily made the weight for the fight if he stopped eating fast food like McDonalds, pizza, etc.
