First of all, your statement does not make a bit of "logical" sense to begin with. "Reid at his best beats the Reid of today..."that's an assinine oxymoron. Any fighter can, albeit any person can say that they would do something better, or accomplish a greater feat when they are "at [his]their best. Sir, I am not here to bash you, I just want you to make sense in your posts. Frankly, when it boils down to it, it doesn't matter if the Reid of yesterday or tomorrow or whenever, would have performed differently or more successfully in the ring with Jeff Lacy...what does matter though, is the Robin "Grim Reaper" Reid that walked into the ring at 10:18 p.m. EST with Jeff Lacy on August 6, 2005, and what matters more than that is what he did while he was in the ring "on that night." No excuse can erase an "L" from the middle section of his win-loss column.

Everybody with a grain of sense expected Reid to do much worse than he did last night.

How much worse can he fight? The only thing he didn't do is beg Lacy to stop hitting him. Lacy dominated that fight. He looked good and fought well.
