Nope.... and hypothetically fighting Jean Pascal somewhere down the road is no excuse for ducking away from all the best fighters at 168 after steadfastly insisting that clearing out the division was the sole interest in his career.

But let's just say for one second that the Super 6 is over right now and Andre Ward is the winner.

What makes anybody in their right mind think that Bute is gonna leave Montreal to come to the United States to get his ass kicked by Ward?

What makes anyone think that Bute, after sitting around fighting bums for 5 years, has any right to even attempt to bring the fight to Montreal?

Why would Andre Ward, who has worked his ass off with 5 consecutive fights against the very best in the division, be willing to go out of his way to fight Bute who has sat around and done nothing to earn a shot at all the titles?

Why would Andre Ward even consider for 1 second going to a country where Marlon Wright screwed Librado Andrade out of a dramatic knockout win and where Canadian judge Jack Woodburn gave the final round of Dawson-Pascal to Pascal even though he was getting his ass kicked all over the ring?

I think people have gone nuts. Bute is never going to leave Montreal. By the same token Ward seems hesitant to leave Oakland... but it seems strange that the same people who cry about Ward not leaving the states seem to have no problem with Bute fighting only in Montreal.

Ward will have earned the title as Division's best when he wins the Super 6. There is no reason for him to make any concessions for a fight with Bute. Anyone who thinks Bute will leave Montreal to challenge himself... well you're nuts.

When Bute cries like a f@ggot about not wanting to leave Montreal Ward will just move up to 175 and beat up the guys like Pascal who Bute has been ducking.

Ofcourse he will. That's the entire reason he stayed out of the tournament. He doesn't have to fight in the round robin format, where he risks losing. A victory over the Super Six winner will equal a victory over all Super 6 participants almost by "default." He can be considered the best by fighting and beating one fighter instead of several.

In the interim he can continue to fight in lucrative hometown fights.

Whomever convinced Bute to not enter the Super 6 is a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you believe Bute will leave Montreal to fight Ward in Oakland or Vegas?

Cause there is no way in hell anybody who wins the Super 6 is gonna go to Canada, and there is sure as hell no reason to expect them to.

I think its unrealistic to say he is waiting for the super 6 winner, That sounds like an excuse to me, The super 6 still have a lot of fights and a long way to go for any boxer to put his career on hold for.

Bute's previous opponents doesn't inspire confidence in him fighting the S6 winner or Dawson/Cloud/Pascal.

People say that there's no one to fight at 168 due to the S6, but even before then he didn't really face anyone special. On the other hand Taylor fought Hopkins, Pavlik, Wright and Froch. Froch fought Taylor and Pascal. Pascal fought Froch, Diaconu and Dawson. All of those guys are better than anyone on Bute's resume.

                Respond to what?

The thread is about how he will duck away from facing the Super 6 winner and your only point is that EVENTUALLY he will fight Jean Pascal.

Of course you don't know that, you are ASSUMING that just like I am ASSUMING that Bute will duck the Super 6 winner. Except the only difference is my assumption is backed up by Bute's track record of only taking easy fights, your assumption on the other hand defies all logic in that it bucks all trends that Bute has set forth with his cowardly choices of opponent.

Your argument that he deserves time at 175 before fighting Pascal is horse**** as well. Bute is 3 inches taller with 5 inches more reach, he is the physically bigger man.

If he had any balls they would be fighting next. Bute hasn't taken on a serious opponent in his whole career there is no reason for him to continue putting it off.

Pascal fought for the title at 175 in his very first fight at the weight and he is shorter, smaller and less skilled than Bute. Why is Bute so scared to fight Pascal under the same circumstance?

Pascal wanted the fight, HBO wanted the fight, the fans wanted the fight, the only person who didn't want the fight was Lucian Bute and the reason given was that he was not willing to move up in weight.

Now he is willing to move up in weight to fight Danny Green instead?

It's a ****ing pathetic joke that only a Canadian ***** could be responsible for.

You gotta admit the shadyness of Bute not wanting the megafight with Pascal 'because of the weight' and now he's openly discussing the possibility of fighting a quite inept cruiserweight.

                    How can that be explained?
