Freddie Roach knows the threat that is Antonio Margarito.

They dont seem to have much confidence in Pac... they dont need to try and drain Antonio (not that he'll be drained at 150) Pac will destroy him at any weight IMO.. he'll fight like he did vs Oscar and try not to eat leather too often. He wont trade like in the Cotto fight until the later rounds when Antonio is worn down.
Late KO for Pac..
I wont watch this fight on PPV for two reasons... the Belt on the line at a Catch weight. And the fact that Margo IMO is a dirty cheater. I'll watch Pac kill him in the morning on Youtube.
War PAC!!!!
he could turn Cotto, Hatton, and Oscar around and was utterly effective because of their stylistic clash but it will be different against Marg. You throw of a fighter who is dominant and lethal with his left hand when you move him to the left at such a ferocious pace like Pac does which ultimately decreases the punching power of their money punch.Comment

He knows that Margarito isn't gonna go into a shell and isn't gonna fold mentally.
He knows that Margario is gonna PUNCH WITH Manny Pacquiao.
He knows that Pacquiao isn't gonna have the same speed at 149, the kind of speed that allows him to hurt guys because they don't see the punches coming.
He knows that 10 oz gloves are going to take away from Pacquiao's speed and power.
He knows that Margarito is gonna be greatly conditioned and will most likely rehydrate up to 167+++.
He also knows that Margarito is very determined and has ALOT to prove.
This is exactly why they want to weaken him. I don't give a shit about "Margarito isn't gonna be drained at 149", those 5...
5 extra pounds would have made a HUGE difference. I'm really sick of that PED infested midget.
*subcribes thread for future bumpage*
pac doesnt have to come in at 149-150. He can come in at 130 if he wants. Dont be ******.Comment

his chin now has questionmarks and his power does so even more
there is no basis to assume margarito is the same fighter he was back in 2007 and 2008Comment

Does he have to come in over 147 for it to be a JMW fight, or can he do like old school fighters, such as Armstrong, and come in 145 and still fight for the title.
I never understood the rules on that and if the different sanctioning bodies treat issues like this differently.Comment

We have to consider that Margarito was Hand picked for this tuneup. He was out of the scene, HE lost by KO once on his last two fight; then He looked horrible on his comeback fight.
Of course He has two hands and a big middleweight body, but When has boxing being about durable and size? Skills pay the bills and Margarito was good, but never great until He started packing.Comment

What's the deal with that Willie?

I cant stand these *****s who act like they are a expert with tons of research behind them backing them on their weight drained, catchweight, steroid talking points.
THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE, DATA, OR RESEARCH to prove a god da mn thing.Comment

no he doesnt. you can come in at any weight. the only thing that would be frowned upon is if you go OVER THE WEIGHT. NOT UNDER.

In the bold, thats always been the case with Margarito. The problem lies with Margarito constantly coming foward and throwing. Thats when that mental exhaustion kicks in and your left wondering how your gonna get this man (Margarito) off you, then your stamina is zapped. You start to lose concentration and before you know it he's slowly breaking you down.
I just don't think Margarito has that card anymore.Comment
