Early on I thought Joel Julio was going to follow the Cintron blue print with Angulo and it was working til he wore down later in the fight, against Kirkland Julio seemed to get outclassed and beat up for 7 rounds.
The Julio comparison is what I was looking at for a while too. Didn't Kirkland smother him and basically leave Julio with little to no chance to ever dictate the pace of the fight? Angulo on the other hand, his style is the exact opposite. You can pretty much move how you want against Angulo, just as long as you don't let those few moments where punishment is taken, to build up to a point where your softened up in the later rounds. Which is what happened to Julio. Joel was eating power shots throughout the fight and when he couldn't move anymore Angulo's obv strength and power ended it. If Angulo ever learned to cut off the ring with body work more effectively he would be hell for opponents at 154.

Now I think Angulo and Kirkland would be an immediate fire fight with the guy with the sharper and shorter punches getting the best and I think that would be Angulo. Regardless this fight is going to be epic when it's made.

        Knocked down a lot?

According to Boxrec he's only been down once against Allen Conyers.

As far as being buzzed, he has been buzzed in the past but i don't recall how many times so i can't say much.

who TF cares about kirkland. he got busted for ARMED ROBBERY, then later got busted for WEAPONS POSSESSION...schafer said "he (kirkland) has learned his lesson...give me a break. he didnt learn his lesson after the ARMED ROBBERY, cause he got busted for WEAPONS POSSESION the next time...

thats just as bad as angula being deported once, snuck back in the US then got departed again...angulo didnt learn his lesson the first time and the second time around he said people are doing a "smear campaign"...like what TF???

all this B/S with GBP and they wanna ban margarito...crazy two faced!!!

Kirkland is coming back with a vengence does anybody know if Anne Wolfe is still his trainer I know there was a few problems there but I'm not sure what happened I hope she is I think they bring something unique to the ring the fear of having her as his trainer is when they step in the ring against a Steward, Roach, or ****m Richardson trained fighter I think she get out coached sort of speak! Even though she could whip all there asses!

then just a few months ago he said pac needed to take random blood test.

and just recently he said margarito should be banned from boxing because of the plaster situation

now delahoya is promoting the guy that did armed robbery early 2000's AND got busted for possesion of firearm a few years after that, WTF??? armed robbery means kirkland had a weapon to commit the crime...possesion of weapon usually means bad intentions!!!

people see the kirkland situation as a good thing for boxing but quick to point at margarito...
I kinda of agree but don't... Their is a difference between committing a crime OUTSIDE the ring than INSIDE the ring. What Margarito basically got charged with is attempt to commit a crime inside the ring. He didn't actually do it.He said he didn't know about that wraps, who is anyone to say otherwise.

And what Kirkland got charged of is actually commiting the crime of arm robbery and purchasing fire arms. He did his time, no biggy, lets move on. He hasn't done anything wrong inside the ring...BRUTAL KO's are positive in boxing!!!

This is a sport, keep it clean, keep it fair. Your faults outside the ring is your problem. Just don't cheat inside ring.

Well...the moral of the post was...Kirkland has been knocked down more times than Angulo 1-0

Kirkland needs 2-3 fights before he can even be considered an opponent for Angulo.

Angulo is bigger, has more power, better chin, and a better brawler, which is kirklands specialty. Kirkland just has better speed than angulo.

Angulo by KO. Kirkland comes straight @ you. PERFECT fight for angulo.

Angulo will lose badly to Kirkland, I understand you're a fan but the guy is very 1 dimensional and slow. He's not better in any aspect of boxing than Kirkland. I would put money on Kirkland any day over Angulo.
