I agree angulos last outing was a good one his boxing skills are pretty sharp, his non stop pressure makes it seem like hes an all out brawler,but thats not really the case. the the guy can box very well.has incredible power, I actually think his defense better than kirklands, if kirkland comes back where he left off, thats gonna make for some sick fights.

angulo has better boxing skills but no where to the extent of keeping kirkland off with them. it will be a war & i think that favors kirk. hell, if kirk comes back looking the same when he last fought....i don't even see a guy like martinaz keeping kirk off for 12 whole rounds (& martinaz has marvelous boxing skills)

Sheesh. The 154 lb division is getting stacked. Lots of talent there. since the welterweight division has stagnated with the dacay of Mosely and Cotto and the lack of fights between the beltholders...jr middle is where it's at. Cintron, Alvarez, Angulo, Kirkland, Martinez, Williams etc. And all these guys aren't too ego-centric to turn down fights. Score one for boxing fans.

martinez and williams are fighting in the middleweight...but im sure both are willing to go back down for the big money fights

james kirkland is the real deal and golden boy has a real prospect in him..i would like to see him destroy cintron, vanes and fight saul alvarez..

as much as i hate cintron, a game one outboxes the **** out of kirkland...but since, he's a mental midget, id love to see kirkland destroy his b1tchass!

It would be interesting to see how Angulo did against a southpaw with a big punch. I know one thing Kirkland sure as hell punished Joel Julio worse than Angulo. I almost dropped a tear watching the "love child" get battered from pilar to post. It was like watching a guy get whipped all over the place lol

I'm a huge fan of Angulo so obviously I'll pick him over Kirkland, but even based on styles I'd pick Angulo. Kirkland gets knocked down and buzzed a lot because he's so undisciplined in the ring. Angulo would pick him apart with power punches. Angulo's style is just far more polished than Kirkland's.

Cintron might look aight for a round or 2. But he has those Mariah Carey meltdowns in everyfight and with a guy like Kirkland that wouldn't work for him being that Kirkland seems to get stronger as the fight progresses and Cintron goes the polar opposite.

I can respect that, thats a flaw I think we've all picked up on Kirkland but everybody has a plan til they get hit with that left. I'm just looking at it from their common opponent Joel Julio. Early on I thought Joel Julio was going to follow the Cintron blue print with Angulo and it was working til he wore down later in the fight, against Kirkland Julio seemed to get outclassed and beat up for 7 rounds.

I'd like to see Kirkland-Angulo as much as anybody. But how the hell is that going to happen if Angulo is unable to fight in the US? Kirkland isn't fighting in Mexico and the fight won't sell anywhere else.
