LOS ANGELES - Unbeaten junior middleweight star James Kirkland was released from prison ahead of schedule yesterday and will finish the remainder of his sentence for a 2009 parole violation in a half-way house. I have this gut feeling he's not going to be anything like he was before he went in.

He was actually better after he got out of his first prison stint (from 2003-2005) so who knows, maybe that trend will continue
