Calzaghe took the guy to school, he pretty much dominated every single round, even the round he got knocked down, he came back to dominate. Still the kd round was the only one you could give cleanly to hopkins

My biggest issue is that some Calzaghe fans seem to have a problem with ANYONE who thinks B-Hop won that. Calzaghe resorted to throwing alot of pitty pat punches to land and he still wasn't hitting anything. I like how Bruce pointed out how B-Hop won most of the exchanges during the clinches and landed more body shots, people need to pay closer attention to that. Despite all that I give Calzaghe full credit for winning because I'm accepting that either man could have gotten the decision, although personally I had B-Hop winning.

well let me take you to school it's not called agression it's called effective agression and he wasn't effective at all. almost every time he came forward throwing a volley of missed punches he was countered.

ring generalship is a toss up i mean calzaghe came forward and bullied hopkins around but hopkins also was never in any trouble and was doing what he wanted walking calzaghe into punches.

clean punching is not 50-50 come on that is absurd. hopkins outlanded calzaghe in clean punches 10 to 1. watch the slo mo breakdowns of what really happened. calzaghe would throw a lot and get hit while he was throwing. hopkins also landed a lot of clean body shots that lampley ignored.

defense was all hopkins. calzaghe showed no concern over defense. he was the only one down and the only one wobbled several times.

i had hopkins winning 115-112, i think it was a competetive fight that he clearly won. calzaghe was throwing alot but he wasnt landing, hopkins was making him miss all the time (scoring with defense) and when he let his own hands go he would land cleanly (scoring with clean effective punching). hopkins hurt calzaghe 3-4 times in the fight while he himself was un touched at the end of the fight, if u dont count the low blows that were clearly not faked if u watch the replay. the only upper hand calzaghe gets is possibly ring generalship, cuz he did have hopkins' back aginst the ropes much of the fight. which was to be anticipated given how shot hopkins' legs looked aginst wright, he was still landing the better shots even with his back against the ropes. calzaghe ducked a rematch for a reason ppl, and yes it was a duck. if he fought like dawson u could say that was a better matchup, but a washed up RJJ? there is no way to excuse that, boy wanted a easy fight after the whoopin got from BHop!
