Joe won and no amount of Hopkins bull**** can change that.

And I've never heard of Bruce Blitz.

Calzaghe won the fight IMO. I've never scored it but he was the guy with the bigger balls that night. A rematch, however, was certainly in order.

I honestly think Calzaghe won, it was Hopkins fight to lose and for some reason especially from round 5 onwards he shut down.

I think Joe won every rounds from 5 onwards (and arguably round 3) Hopkins just didn't throw punches. Calzaghe was pressing the fight and while his punches were not hard the would occasionally land and they do count, Hopkins just wouldn't commit for some reason. It also (whether right or not) looks good for the judges if your putting the pressure on.

At the end of the day I know it is a bitter pill for some to swallow but Calzaghe beat Hopkins in a close fight.

Calzaghe landed more that night and even had a better connection percentage despite what the small portion of biased Hopkins fans make out.

I seriously think Hopkins underrated Calzaghe and just dismissed him as being a crappy British fighter. Calzaghe's workrate would become too much and I even think that despite Calzaghe not being a big hitter he hits a lot harder than most make out.

It always comes down "Americans don't like Calzaghe cause he's not American"
Lmao, funny that UK fans r saying the UK fighter won easy, while claiming us Americans r bias. Whether u have Calzaghe winning or not, it damn sure wasn't easy.

Would a rematch have been approved?

Even on BH wikipedia it says BH did well in the first few rounds and then faded.

Bruceblitz is a nutter. He posted a video a while back almost crying saying he was quitting YouTube. Now he makes a 6 part video about this fight, he needs to get out more.

In any case there are far bigger robberies in boxing than this close bout.

BHOPwas doing everything in his power to gain some breathing time that night, Joe was working him over once he got rolling. I have never seen Hopkins go to the extent he went that night just to survive. It was close but I gave it to Calzaghe by like 3 rds, had Calz fought in America before and at lhw before, he would had beaten Hopkins severely.
