Manny is already pushing above his weight right now, and this may just be it after Margarito. I just don't see the justice in letting him go on fighting Williams, Martinez, JCC jr..

You know, sometimes fighters cant please anyone, no matter who they beat.. You will never be satisfied until Manny loses, and your supposed to be a fan of boxing? Why cant you give the guy credit? Mayweather didn't up to the plate, is that what? Your a joke.
Wow. So Martinez beating the P4P Number 1 means nothing? While getting a big pay day. Please.

Stop it bro. If Manny was to fight Zbick, Slyvester or Chavez Jr at 160 for a belt youd be all for it.

He's proven alot, there is no denying that. However, I'm sure many avid boxing fans would like to see him just once, in the ring with a slick boxer at the weight limit.

      Just sayin...lol

I really disagree with all of you saying that Pacquiao doesn't have anything to prove.

First of all I'm neither a Pacquiao fan or a Mayweather fan, I'm a boxing fan, and I don't think there is a single fighter that is ahead of the sport, boxing was great before Mayweather and Pacquiao, and it will be great long after they're gone.

With that said, I believe Manny has had a great career and he will have a great legacy regardless of what happens with Mayweather, but the question will be in everyone's head, "what would have happened if he fought Mayweather???". That is the fight everyone wants to see, it would settle the dispute on who's the #1 p4p fighter. Put it this way, when Manny and Floyd retire ,if they don't fight eachother, boxing fans will be divided much like we are today, some will say Pacquiao was the greatest fighter, and others will say no, Mayweather was the greatest fighter. At least if they fight we will have a definite answer on who is the greatest. Pacquiao has to prove to us boxing fans that he is the greatest, and so does Mayweather, and it doesn't matter who loses because we, the boxing fans, will know that these men were the greatest fighters of their time, and their legacies will still be great, and their hall-of-fame status will be left intact.

There wouldn't be that because people will always remember Floyd as be on Vacation when Manny agreed to Floyd BS OSDT demand.

The sweetest part of it is he's already fought 3 guys Mayweather ducked when he was at WW.

              Clottey, Cotto and Tony.

              Its embarrassing.

I guess your way of considering him great is to compare him to FLoyd Mayweather and what FLoyd has done? Instead of just saying you think Manny is great. YOu right Floyd has never fought Cotto, Margarito, or clottey. But who has Clottey and Margarito fought that made them so great to even consider fighting? I do recall Margarito losing to Paul WIlliams and getting spanked and ko cold but an old mosey? The same old mosley Mayweather destroyed right? Anyways Floyd never fought those 3 fighters because they are top rank fighters. If you didnt know Floyd use to be a top rank fighter himself & had he remained one, Manny wouldnt even be thought of. He doesnt do business with top rank hense the fact that he doesnt fight top rank fighters. And apparently Bob doesnt do business with anyone considering the fact that Manny only fights Top rank fighters.

If you feel that Clottey and Margarito & COtto were at the top of their game when Manny got them then you're a fool! All those fighters are washed up like dirty clothes!

Stop with the madness and this vacation talk. After Manny turned down A show down with Mayweather and fought clottey in March, it wasnt until july when they wanted to negotiate a fight with floyd. From march to july is 5 months of vacation. Floyd had just fought in May so that was 3 months later. Its okay for manny to take a vacation and then talk about fighting but the moment floyd says "hey i just fought, the number 1 guy, i'm not thinking about you poochie" everyone gets mad. Lmao thats so funny. IF pac really wanted to fight it would've happened in March straight up. And if he was really trying to fight the best he would've fought mosley or berto instead of clottey and Paul williams or Martinez at 154 instead of Margarito. He's beating all top rank fighters and that shi* aint LEGIT!

I'd like to see him against Martinez at full 154 to prove if he is truly legendary. No excuses, no bullshet. And if he beats Martinez, which there is a 1% chance, then wow......the guy can truly be called top 20 of all time!

Keep in mind he was campaigning like crazy for his corrupt congressional seat from the middle of March till the middle of May. So middle of May to middle of July = 2 months.

Also remember that when Pac/Clottey was made Mosley/Berto was still on.

Roach : shot fighter, you can't pull the trigger anymore, damaged goods, past his prime.

How can you be called a great fighter when even your coach thinks that your opponent is as stated above.
