There is no one out there to fight(FLoyd is going to jail for 30 + years).

Beating Margarito,he clear the all list that Mayweather ducked,I mean I thing Paul WIlliams is only one left out there but Maravilla is gonna retire him.
If Manny was to beat Margs, then you can be sure if Maravilla beats Williams, people will be calling for Pacquiao vs Martinez, but what is the point in this fight? Not only does it favour Martinez, but it's almost pointless, it wouldn't achieve much for Martinez if he won either. Manny is already pushing above his weight right now, and this may just be it after Margarito. I just don't see the justice in letting him go on fighting Williams, Martinez, JCC jr..

You know, sometimes fighters cant please anyone, no matter who they beat.. You will never be satisfied until Manny loses, and your supposed to be a fan of boxing? Why cant you give the guy credit? Mayweather didn't up to the plate, is that what? Your a joke.

If Manny was Billy the white kid from Cincinnati, he would already be the GOAT. He would be as famous as Jordan and Wood. He would have $100 mills in endorsement deal.

After he beats Margarito he could retire and with his great career, history will be kind to him and his legacy.

Sad to see the lost Mayweather fans in here making negative comments. These posters are not boxing fans and have no idea of what greatness or legacy really is.

The sweetest part of it is he's already fought 3 guys Mayweather ducked when he was at WW.

              Clottey, Cotto and Tony.

              Its embarrassing.

              floyd ducked clottey now? lol

when and how did this take place? what fighter did he take on that was ranked lower, had lesser credentials and brought less fan interest and when did he do it?

he didnt duck margarito, i know ppl like to say he did but its a lie. cotto u can make a case for, but pac didnt fight cotto either. he foguth the washed up shell of cotto, thats not the point though.. i wanna know more about floyd ducking clottey.

He really doesn't need this 8th title. If he defends it against a legitimate junior welterweight in dominating fashion, it'd add another huge bonus to his achievements. Kind of how I felt after he defeated Cotto.

The scary thing, though, is he's still young enough to go on for a few more years. I think people overreacted with the foot thing.

Manny can't possibly be discredited in his career, he's fought every fighter, and has went on some journey. I never fought he'd go as far as he has done in his carrer, he's come along way, accomplished just about everything he can. I have a feeling Margarito maybe his last fight so i'm going to try and enjoy it as much as I can. If Mayweather vs Pacquaio doesn't happen, then you can bet Manny will probably retire..
